Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - Hickory tips Mercer

September 30, 2025: Mercer, PA 16137

Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Hickory advances its record to 7-3 on the season. The Hornets host Eisenhower (Russell, PA) to face the Knights in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 1. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Eisenhower won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwestern (Albion, PA)

Next, the Mustangs play the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Mercer will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA).
