September 30, 2025: Chillicothe, IL 61523 Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) and the visiting Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL), observed Illinois Valley Central's volleyball team hold off Tolono Unity by a tally of 2-1.
The Grey Ghosts (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages enter the Illini Prairie test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Monticello tipped St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 2-1, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Thomas More for a Illini Prairie test on Thursday, October 2. Tolono Unity will face a Sabers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Sabers record now stands at 15-7.
