Florida High School Basketball - Palmetto knocked off by Sunlake
January 1, 2022: Palmetto, FL 34221 The Sunlake Seahawks basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Palmetto Tigers to 53 in the Seahawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Seahawks now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berkeley Prep for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 5. Sunlake will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 49-37 non-league win over Academy of the Holy Names (Tampa, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 11-4.
The Tigers (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Braden River (Bradenton, FL). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Braden River was outscored by Warren County (McMinnville, TN), 77-29, in a non-league contest.
