The Washington & Lee Eagles basketball team scored 86 points and held the visiting Mathews Blue Devils to 45 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colonial Beach for a Northern Neck contest on Tuesday, January 11. Washington & Lee will meet a Drifters team coming off a 48-43 non-league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Drifters record now stands at 2-5.

The Blue Devils (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Royal Tigers enter the Tidewater contest with a 0-5 record.
