January 10, 2023: Rootstown, OH 44272 The Academy for Urban Scholars Hawks basketball team (Youngstown, OH), was overwhelmed 61-37 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Rootstown Rovers (Rootstown, OH)
The Rovers now possess a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast for a Portage Trail battle on Friday, January 13. Rootstown will battle a Pirates team coming off a 90-72 league loss to John F. Kennedy Catholic (Warren, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 4-6.
The Hawks (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against East Palestine (East Palestine, OH). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 2-8 record.
