Georgia High School Basketball - Aquinas thwarts Augusta Prep Day
January 10, 2023: Augusta, GA 30907 The Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) basketball knocked off the host Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers (Augusta, GA), 63-51 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Fightin' Irish (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA). The Red Devils go into the A D2 Region 8B test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Lincoln County notched a victory over Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA), 52-40, in a league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Westminster Christian Academy for a non-league test on Friday, January 13. Augusta Prep Day will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 72-65 non-league loss to Westminster Schools of Augusta (Augusta, GA). The Lions record now stands at 0-12.
