January 10, 2023: St. Joseph, MO 64504 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Benton Cardinals (St. Joseph, MO) and the visiting Van Horn Falcons (Independence, MO), saw Benton's basketball squad overcome Van Horn by a tally of 61-51.
With the victory, Benton improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Winnetonka (Kansas City, MO) to confront the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Winnetonka lost 70-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Central (Kansas City, MO)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Summit Christian Academy Eagles (Lee's Summit, MO) in a Crossroads challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Van Horn will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
