The Gila Bend Gila Monsters basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Caurus Academy to 29 in the Gila Monsters non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Gila Monsters now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host A+ Charter School for a Canyon Division 1 - Cactus contest on Tuesday, January 17. Gila Bend will meet a Maricopa team coming off a 53-51 league win over Berean Academy (Sierra Vista, AZ). The Maricopa record now stands at 3-6.
The (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against James Madison Preparatory School (Tempe, AZ). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, James Madison Preparatory School was defeated by Skyline - Gila River (Chandler, AZ), 64-15, in a league contest.
