The Coronado Cougars basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Palo Verde Panthers to 62 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Lutheran for a 5A Southern contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Panthers (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Lutheran (Las Vegas, NV). The Crusaders enter the 5A Southern contest with a 7-8 record. In their last bout, Faith Lutheran was knocked off by Desert Pines (Las Vegas, NV), 75-52, in a league bout.
