January 10, 2023: Lometa, TX 76853 The Lometa Hornets basketball team (Lometa, TX), was overwhelmed 68-44 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Llano Yellowjackets (Llano, TX)
The Yellowjackets now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brady for a 3A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, January 13. Llano will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 59-32 non-league loss to Miles (Miles, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-11.
The Hornets (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Rochelle (Rochelle, TX). The Hornets come into the 1A Region III District 17 battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Rochelle was overwhelmed by Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX), 55-25, in a non-league battle.
