January 10, 2024: Virginia Beach, VA 23455 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA) and the visiting Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), saw Bayside's basketball squad hold off Great Bridge by a count of 49-44.
With the victory, Bayside upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Marlins travel to Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA) to play the Dolphins in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Cape Henry Collegiate lost 58-53 in their recent league challenge against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. Great Bridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 75-38 league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
