The The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) basketball knocked off the host Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), 48-37 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics go into the VISAA Blue Ridge test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Roanoke Catholic notched a victory over North Cross (Roanoke, VA), 62-32, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Prince George for a Central test on Thursday, January 11. Matoaca will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 52-30 league win over Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA). The Royals record now stands at 3-8.
