January 10, 2024: Swiftwater, PA 18370 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles (Nazareth, PA) and the host Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA), saw Nazareth Area's basketball squad wallop Pocono Mountain East by a tally of 52-22.
With the victory, Nazareth Area improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Blue Eagles travel to Liberty (Bethlehem, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a Lehigh Valley challenge on Friday, January 12. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Liberty lost 37-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA)
Next up, the Cardinals play the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves (Dingmans Ferry, PA) in a Mountain Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Pocono Mountain East will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 52-24 non-league loss to Whitehall (Whitehall, PA).
