The South St. Paul Packers (South St. Paul, MN) basketball nipped the host Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN), 47-44 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Packers (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Hastings (Hastings, MN). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Hastings was tipped by Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN), 69-37, in a non-league test.
