January 10, 2024: South Hill, WA 98374 The Sumner Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Emerald Ridge Jaguars to 6 in the Spartans non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Spartans now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellarmine Prep for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Sumner will battle a Lions team coming off a 54-22 non-league win over Puyallup (Puyallup, WA). The Lions record now stands at 3-0.
The Jaguars (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against South Kitsap (Port Orchard, WA). The Wolves come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, South Kitsap triumphed over Curtis (University Place, WA), 40-27, in a non-league contest.
