Louisiana High School Basketball - Covenant Christian Academy succumbs to Abbeville
January 10, 2025: Houma, LA 70364 In Friday's non-league test, the Abbeville Wildcats (Abbeville, LA) basketball squad defeated the host Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA), by a score of 58-38.
The Wildcats (18-12) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA). The Tigers come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 5-14 record. In their last challenge, St. Martinville dropped by Iowa (Iowa, LA), 39-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions battle the South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Covenant Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Tarpons come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 72-49 non-league win over Pearl River (Pearl River, LA).
