The Academy of the New Church Lions basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Friends Select to 61 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pennington for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Friends Select falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The travel to George School (Newtown, PA) to confront the Cougars in a Friends Schools game on Friday, January 17. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 11-4.
