Louisiana High School Basketball - Merryville bested by East Beauregard
January 10, 2025: Merryville, LA 70653 East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA), 61-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, East Beauregard advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Trojans host DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA) to face the Tigers in a 2A District 4 match on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 6-4.
The Panthers now own a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Church Point for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. Merryville will face a Bears squad coming off a 39-33 non-league win over Mentorship Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The Bears record now stands at 13-7.
