In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Thornton Trojans basketball team scored a big 52-27 triumph over the Fort Morgan Mustangs.

The Trojans (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Adams City (Commerce City, CO). The Eagles go into the 5A/4A Colorado contest with a 2-8 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners (Broomfield, CO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Fort Morgan will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Miners go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 88-87 non-league loss to Windsor Charter Academy (Windsor, CO).
