Oklahoma High School Basketball - Jones can't hold off Woodward
January 10, 2025: Woodward, OK 73801 Woodward Boomers (Woodward, OK) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jones Longhorns (Jones, OK), 60-59 in a league battle.
With the victory, Woodward advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Boomers host Clinton (Clinton, OK) to meet the Red Tornadoes in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Red Tornadoes enter the battle with a record of 4-8. Clinton lost 48-29 in their recent non-league battle against Anadarko (Anadarko, OK)
The Longhorns now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chisholm for a non-league battle on Monday, January 13. Jones will meet a Longhorns squad coming off a 63-51 non-league loss to Cushing (Cushing, OK). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-5.
