Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Aquinas Academy holds off Chartiers-Houston

January 10, 2025: Gibsonia, PA 15044

The Aquinas Academy Crusaders basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers to 41 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Western Beaver for a WPIAL 1A 1 game on Monday, January 13. Aquinas Academy will confront a Golden Beavers team coming off a 42-31 league loss to Springdale (Springdale, PA). The Golden Beavers record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Chartiers-Houston falls to 9-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA) to confront the Bearcats in a WPIAL 2A 3 game on Monday, January 13. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 6-6. Bentworth lost 49-35 in their recent league game against Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA)
