The Axtell Wildcats nipped the host Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs basketball squad by a final score of 44-41 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Wildcats face the Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) in a D1 District 9 outing, on Saturday, January 11. Axtell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 8-3 record after their 60-15 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, NE).
