The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) and the host Hamilton Braves (Hamilton City, CA), observed Weed's basketball team overwhelm Hamilton by a margin of 44-21.

The Cougars (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Las Plumas (Oroville, CA). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Las Plumas was trounced by Yreka (Yreka, CA), 43-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves battle the Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Hamilton will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record.
