January 10, 2025: Howell, MI 48843 The Howell Highlanders ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the visiting Alpena Wildcats to 3 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Friday.
The Highlanders now own a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sault Area for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. Howell will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-5.
With the defeat, Alpena moves to 11-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Hartland (Hartland, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 28-1. Hartland lost 6-5 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI)
