High School Ice Hockey - Hampden holds off Varsity Opponent
January 10, 2025: , The Hampden Broncos ice hockey team scored 3 points and held the host Varsity Opponent to 2 in the Broncos non-league victory on Friday.
The Broncos now hold a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brewer for a Class B North bout on Thursday, January 16. Hampden will play a Witches team coming off a 1-0 league win over Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Witches record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Varsity Opponent moves to 45-78 on the season. The travel to Northfield Mount Hermon (Mount Hermon, MA) to play the Hoggers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Hoggers enter the match with a record of 4-9. Northfield Mount Hermon lost 7-3 in their recent non-league match against Pomfret School (Pomfret, CT)
