With the victory, Appling County advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pirates host Pierce County (Blackshear, GA) to meet the Bears in a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 0-2.
The Warriors now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Toombs County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11. Tattnall County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
