The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE) and the host Nebraska Christian Eagles (Central City, NE), observed Central Valley's basketball team knock off Nebraska Christian by a score of 58-44.

The Cougars (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Pleasanton prevailed over Twin Loup (Sargent, NE), 61-18, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Elba Bluejays (Elba, NE) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 13. Nebraska Christian will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Bluejays enter the battle with a 3-8 record after their 65-31 non-league loss to Red Cloud (Red Cloud, NE).
