Memphis University Owls (Memphis, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Memphis Home Education Association (Memphis, TN), 44-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Memphis University upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Owls travel to St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN) to play the Eagles in a Division II-AA West bout on Friday, January 14. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the play the Bolton Wildcats (Arlington, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 13. Memphis Home Education Association will attempt to upgrade on its 20-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 66-56 league win over Millington Central (Millington, TN).
