Unatego Spartans (Otego, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Unadilla Valley Storm (New Berlin, NY), 51-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Unatego upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Walton (Walton, NY) to clash with the Warriors in a Section 4 Midstate bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Walton won 50-49 in their recent league bout against Harpursville (Harpursville, NY)

Next up, the Storm clash with the Delaware Academy Bulldogs (Delhi, NY) in a Section 4 Midstate bout, on Friday, January 13. Unadilla Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record.
