Louisiana High School Basketball - Assumption holds off Bourgeois
January 11, 2023: Gray, LA 70359 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) and the host Bourgeois Braves (Gray, LA), saw Assumption's basketball squad hold off Bourgeois by a tally of 40-38.
With the victory, Assumption improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the Cubs in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Cubs come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. University Lab won 51-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Opelousas, LA)
Next up, the Braves confront the Thibodaux Tigers (Thibodaux, LA) in a 5A District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Bourgeois will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-7 record after their 47-38 league loss to Hahnville (Boutte, LA).
