Illinois High School Basketball - Brownstown holds off Dieterich
January 11, 2023: Brownstown, IL 62418 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Brownstown Bombers (Brownstown, IL) and the visiting Dieterich Movin Maroons (Dieterich, IL), saw Brownstown's basketball squad hold off Dieterich by a tally of 55-50.
With the victory, Brownstown improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Bombers travel to Altamont (Altamont, IL) to confront the Indians in a National Trail challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Altamont lost 57-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodlawn (Woodlawn, IL)
Next up, the Movin Maroons confront the Shelbyville Rams (Shelbyville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Dieterich will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 56-52 league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IL).
