Louisiana High School Basketball - Gueydan trounced by Westminster Academy
January 11, 2023: Opelousas, LA 70570 The Westminster Academy Crusaders routed the visiting Gueydan Bears basketball team by a final score of 63-8 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Crusaders face the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) in a 1A District 6 game, on Friday, January 13. Westminster Academy will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Fighting Blue Jays enter the game with a 8-4 record after their 46-26 non-league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA).
With the defeat, Gueydan moves to 2-5 on the year. The Bears travel to East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA) to face the Trojans in a 1A District 5 game on Tuesday, January 24. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 9-10.
