January 11, 2023: Jackson, NJ 08527 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) and the visiting Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ), saw Liberty's basketball squad hold off Point Pleasant Beach by a tally of 44-42.
With the victory, Liberty improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ) to play the Piners in a Shore B - South challenge on Friday, January 13. The Piners come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Lakewood lost 26-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Keyport (Keyport, NJ)
Next up, the Garnet Gulls play the Henry Hudson Admirals (Highlands, NJ) in a Shore B - Central challenge, on Friday, January 13. Point Pleasant Beach will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Admirals come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 37-29 league loss to Keyport (Keyport, NJ).
