The Akron Rams basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Briggsdale Falcons to 40 in the Rams non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rams now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wray for a 3A/2A Lower Platte contest on Friday, January 12. Akron will battle a Eagles team coming off a 77-27 non-league win over Burlington (Burlington, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.

The Falcons (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Weldon Valley (Weldona, CO). The Warriors enter the 1A North Central contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Weldon Valley was nudged by Nederland (Nederland, CO), 51-44, in a non-league contest.
