Florida High School Basketball - Clay tops Middleburg
January 11, 2024: Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 Clay Blue Devils (Green Cove Springs, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Middleburg Broncos (Middleburg, FL), 72-52 in a league bout.
With the victory, Clay upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Oakleaf (Orange Park, FL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Oakleaf won 56-51 in their recent non-league bout against Bartram Trail (St. Johns, FL)
Next up, the Broncos play the Beaches Chapel Lions (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Middleburg will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 66-12 league win over Covenant School of Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL).
