Mississippi High School Basketball - North Delta holds off Delta Academy
January 11, 2024: Batesville, MS 38606 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Delta Green Wave (Batesville, MS) and the visiting Delta Academy Raiders (Marks, MS), saw North Delta's basketball squad hold off Delta Academy by a tally of 44-41.
With the victory, North Delta improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Green Wave host Lee Academy (Clarksdale, MS) to confront the Colts in a MAIS 4A District 1 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
Next up, the Raiders confront the Calhoun Academy Cougars (Calhoun City, MS) in a MAIS 2A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Delta Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
