Delaware High School Basketball - Sussex Central tops Polytech
January 11, 2024: Woodside, DE 19980 Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE), 62-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Sussex Central upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Golden Knights travel to Milford (Milford, DE) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Milford lost 65-49 in their recent non-league bout against Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE)
Next up, the Panthers play the St. Georges Tech Hawks (Middletown, DE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Polytech will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 43-31 league loss to Mount Pleasant (Wilmington, DE).
