Illinois High School Basketball - Limestone holds off Ottawa
January 11, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) and the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), saw Limestone's basketball squad hold off Ottawa by a tally of 45-42.
With the victory, Limestone improves its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Rockets host East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to confront the Raiders in a Mid-Illini challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-16. East Peoria lost 44-35 in their recent league challenge against Pekin (Pekin, IL)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) in a Interstate 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Ottawa will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL).
