Columbus East Olympians (Columbus, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN), 75-59 in a league match.

With the victory, Columbus East upgrades its record to 9-1 on the year. The Olympians travel to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN) to face the Golden Bears in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Golden Bears enter the match with a record of 10-3. Shelbyville won 77-56 in their recent non-league match against Greensburg (Greensburg, IN)

The Highlanders now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jeffersonville for a Hoosier Hills match on Friday, January 17.
