Rhode Island High School Basketball - Cranston East knocks off Middletown
January 11, 2025: Cranston, RI 02910 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) and the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), observed Cranston East's basketball team overcome Middletown by a score of 68-56.
The Thunderbolts (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Shea (Pawtucket, RI). The Raiders come into the Division I challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Shea dropped by North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI), 59-52, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Islanders battle the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a Division II challenge, on Wednesday, January 15. Middletown will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record.
