In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Wilmington Wildcats basketball team scored a good 53-38 triumph over the Grant Park Dragons.

The Wildcats (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 1-16 record. In their last contest, Gardner-South Wilmington was toppled by St. Anne (St. Anne, IL), 78-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons confront the Donovan Wildcats (Donovan, IL) in a River Valley contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Grant Park will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Watseka (Watseka, IL).
