January 11, 2025: Darien, GA 31305

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) and the visiting Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), observed McIntosh County Academy's basketball team knock off Pierce County by a score of 47-39.

The Buccaneers (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The Redskins come into the A D2 Region 3 challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Bryan County prevailed over Claxton (Claxton, GA), 67-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Pierce County will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record.
