The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds basketball squad (Wolsey, SD), lost 60-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD)

With the victory, Sioux Valley advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Cossacks host Hamlin (Hayti, SD) to meet the Chargers in a A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Chargers enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Hamlin lost 75-60 in their recent non-league battle against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD)

The Warbirds now own a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aberdeen Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. Wolsey-Wessington will meet a Knights squad coming off a 45-42 league loss to Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD). The Knights record now stands at 3-3.
