Iowa High School Basketball - Wahlert overwhelms West Delaware
January 11, 2025: Dubuque, IA 52001 The Wahlert Golden Eagles basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting West Delaware Hawks to 37 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Iowa City for a Mississippi Valley game on Tuesday, January 14. Wahlert will confront a Little Hawks team coming off a 78-34 non-league loss to Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA). The Little Hawks record now stands at 4-13.
With the loss, West Delaware falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Hawks host Independence (Independence, IA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 6-5. Independence won 43-38 in their recent league game against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
