New York High School Basketball - Albany overwhelms Mount Vernon

The Albany Falcons basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting Mount Vernon Knights to 39 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcons now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Colonie Central for a Section 2 Suburban game on Tuesday, January 14. Albany will confront a Raiders team coming off a 75-41 league win over Niskayuna (Niskayuna, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Mount Vernon falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Greeley (Chappaqua, NY) to confront the Quakers in a non-league game on Monday, January 13. The Quakers go into the game with a record of 4-1. Greeley won 53-51 in their recent non-league game against Brewster (Brewster, NY)
