January 11, 2025: Auburn, WA 98092 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Auburn Mountainview Lions (Auburn, WA) and the visiting Mt. Rainier Rams (Des Moines, WA), observed Auburn Mountainview's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Rainier by a score of 47-26.
The Lions (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson (Auburn, WA). The Raiders come into the 3A/4A North Puget Sound - Olympic challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson was routed by Decatur (Federal Way, WA), 49-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rams battle the Kentridge Chargers (Kent, WA) in a 3A/4A North Puget Sound - Olympic challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Mt. Rainier will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 60-53 non-league win over Decatur (Federal Way, WA).
