Michigan High School Basketball - Marian can't hold off Central Catholic
January 11, 2025: Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301 Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Marian Mustangs (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 36-33 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Central Catholic advances its record to 2-8 on the year. The Fighting Irish host St. Ursula Academy (Toledo, OH) to face the Arrows in a Freelance match on Monday, January 13. The Arrows enter the match with a record of 2-10. St. Ursula Academy lost 63-29 in their recent league match against Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH)
The Mustangs now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arbor Prep for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. Marian will face a Gators squad coming off a 30-29 non-league loss to Hamady (Flint, MI). The Gators record now stands at 3-6.
