Iowa High School Basketball - Clinton defeats Geneseo
January 11, 2025: Clinton, IA 52732 The Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA) basketball were winner over the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 53-42 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The River Kings now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Assumption for a Mississippi bout on Tuesday, January 14. Clinton will play a Knights team coming off a 50-35 non-league loss to Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Knights record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Geneseo falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Maple leafs travel to Moline (Moline, IL) to play the Maroons in a Western Big 6 bout on Thursday, January 16. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Moline lost 61-58 in their recent league bout against Quincy (Quincy, IL)
