New York High School Basketball - Homer knocks off Mexico
January 11, 2025: Homer, NY 13077 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Homer Trojans (Homer, NY) and the visiting Mexico Tigers (Mexico, NY), observed Homer's basketball team overcome Mexico by a margin of 50-39.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cazenovia (Cazenovia, NY). The Lakers come into the Section 3 Liberty challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Cazenovia dropped by Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY), 41-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Central Square Redhawks (Central Square, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Mexico will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 49-34 non-league loss to Watertown (Watertown, NY).
