California High School Basketball - Weed holds off Las Plumas

January 11, 2025: Oroville, CA 95966

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Weed Cougars basketball team scored a close 39-34 triumph over the Las Plumas Thunderbirds.

The Cougars (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA). The Bears go into the Shasta Cascade contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Mt. Shasta was tipped by Del Norte (Crescent City, CA), 48-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds confront the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a Butte View contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Las Plumas will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Wheatland (Wheatland, CA).
